As the national industry body with over 80 agency members, it is dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of communication suppliers. CAANZ partners with Aquent to conduct a salary survey and industry monitor of the marketing, communications and creative industries in a publication called The Aquent Orange Book. All members of CAANZ have access to a copy of the survey.

- The Designers Institute of New Zealand represents graphic designers (visual communication), spatial designers (built environment), industrial designers (product design, consumer and capital goods), fashion designers (apparel), craft designers (art and craft media), design education (the teaching profession), design managers, and interactive media and lighting designers. Its mission is to have professional designers valued and rewarded for the contribution they make to the economic, cultural, and social growth of New Zealand. Other aims are to improve standards of professional service, increase demand for design excellence, and generally raise the profile of design. As the Official Career Partner of DINZ, we offer New Zealand designers educational and professional advancement opportunities through workshops, salary surveys, employment assistance, and sponsorship of events.

The NZMA’s role is to develop the marketing industry by ensuring the infrastructure and resources are in place to allow New Zealand businesses to thrive in a responsible market place.
We rely on the support of the business community to help us deliver the services that underpin this role, so that organisations of all sizes and at all stages of evolution can develop and take their products and services to market without undue restrictions.
The NZMA provides the necessary infrastructure to:
- Ensure that best practice marketing is recognised and valued as the primary critical success factor to business success that it is
- Develop and educate marketing professionals, aiding recruitment, retention and availability of skilled marketers
- Provide industry support through lobbying government as a collective, advocating self regulation over government legislation within the marketing industry
- Provide an environment where marketers can network and share knowledge with each other through professional business networking, information and social events.
